Faster Remote does not collect, transmit, store on our servers, or share any personal information. The app has no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no backend.
The app saves a small amount of information locally on your iPhone using the standard iOS UserDefaults store. This data never leaves your device:
Uninstalling Faster Remote removes this data along with the app.
To control your Roku, the app sends HTTP requests directly to the Roku's local IP on your Wi-Fi network. These requests stay on your local network and are not routed through any server we operate.
The app does not contact any server other than the Roku devices you configure and the standard Apple services described below.
iOS asks for permission to access your local network the first time the app runs. This is required to reach your Roku. Faster Remote uses this permission only to send commands to the Roku IP addresses you configure.
Faster Remote offers a one-time $0.99 in-app purchase to unlock Pro features (channel shortcuts and fast text entry). Purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. Apple handles all payment information; Faster Remote never sees your payment details and receives only a local entitlement signal indicating that the purchase was made.
The app uses no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising networks, or crash reporters. The only external services involved are Apple's standard ones (the App Store and StoreKit), which are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Faster Remote does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy ever changes, the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
